 In-the-round at
  the new 44AD
gallery, Bath
This Summer 2014 exhibition comes right at the beginning of 44AD's new life in a magnificent Georgian townhouse in the heart of the city. The Roman spa complex and Bath Abbey are its closest neighbours, which means that a rich mix of visitors and locals can feel free to walk in and see what's happening.

My pieces in the show are a development of ideas I have been exploring for a while now. The themes include my familiar territory of FLOW, change, time, stillness and movement, but I am now placing them into the third dimension. This is to address such questions as: Can I establish additional presence with a set of images by setting them in a space that they, in part, define? And can I further activate the pieces by implicitly  inviting the viewer to walk around them, thus establishing a simple framework of narrative? This narrative dimension is emphasised by the fact that the two related pieces in the Infinity Pool series are placed in separate rooms within the gallery. This also re-enforces the dialogue in the work between movement and stillness.
